HONORING OUR ABUELITAS:
Every month we plan a community service event. During May, we decided to celebrate our Abuelitas in honor of Día de Las Madres. These lovely Abuelitas are in need of non perishable items for their food pantry and garden supplies to grow their garden. We gathered community donations and sponsored a meal for the abuelitas. We also led a painting project and planted flowers with the elderly women.

COLLEGE SHOWER:
Our HWNT team is proud to support our college bound Latinas in Progress. Our HWNT team hosted a College Care Package drive to gather needed supplies for our Latinas in Progress high school graduates. We are collected school supplies and college materials to prepare our graduates for college. We filled baskets to prepare our members to attend the university in the fall. We were excited to help them on their journey to college. Thanks to our members for donating to our Latinas in Progress high school graduates. Congrats grads!!

SELENA PAINTING PARTY:
Our HWNT team was excited to celebrate the birthday of the Queen of Tejano Music with our Selena-inspired art class on April 26 at the El Paso Brewing Co.  The community was invited to paint for a cause and honor the legendary Selena. A huge THANK YOU to the talented B.E. Art for hosting our Selena-inspired art class. Our team had a fantastic time honoring the memory of the iconic Selena & learning to paint. Best of all - we raised funds for scholarships.

SPRING EGG HUNT:
Thanks to our HWNT members for volunteering their time to organize a Spring celebration with the kids at La Posada Home.  Our members brought snacks for the kids, donated candy and eggs for a hunt, and guided kids through Spring arts & crafts.
